In response to the expected low demand following the Chinese New Year holiday, we would like to inform you of the withdrawal of the following Asia-North America sailings:

• ETA Xiamen on February 1 in Week 5 for EASTBOUND, and ETA Los Angeles on February 20 in Week 8 for WESTBOUND

• Service resumes with APL Houston (AHS) 022E/W: ETA Xiamen on February 8 in Week 6 for EASTBOUND, and ETA Los Angeles on February 27 in Week 9 for WESTBOUND

Central China 4 (CC4)

• ETA Shanghai on February 10 in Week 6 for EASTBOUND, and ETA Los Angeles on February 26 in Week 9 for WESTBOUND

  • Vessel owner is still in discussion with Port Authority about releasing MOL Brilliance.

South China Operational Restrictions – Chinese New Year Holidays 2017

Please be advised that in view of the forthcoming Chinese New Year Holidays from
27th January, 2017 to 2nd February, 2017 there will be the following operational
restrictions for import hazardous shipment to South China including Guangdong,
Guangxi, Hainan and Fujian Provinces:

 

 
All import hazardous shipment will be prohibited from 15th January, 2017 to 2nd
February, 2017 for the following ports including but not limited to:
Guangdong Province (Pearl River Delta): Dongguan / Doumen / Fangcun / Foshan /
Gaolan / Gaoming / Taishan / Heshan / Huadu / Huangpu / Huizhou / Jiangmen /
Jiaoxin / Jiujiang / Lianhuashan / Mafang / Maoming / Nangang / Nansha / Qingyuan /
Rongqi / Sanbu / Sanshan / Sanshui / Shantou / Shenwan / Shunde / Taiping / Wanzai
/ Xiaolan / Xinhui / Xintang / Yunfu / Zhanjiang / Zhaoqing / Zhongshan / Zhuhai
Guangxi Province: Beihai / Fangcheng / Guigang / Qinzhou / Wuzhou /
Hainan Province: Haikou / Yangpu Fujian Province: Fuzhou / Quanzhou / Weitou

 

 
Feeder services serving the above-mentioned ports will be temporarily suspended for
the acceptance of hazardous shipment from 15th January, 2017 to 2nd February, 2017.
Demurrage and detention charge if incurred at transshipment port will be for the
account of cargo owner.
For main ports in South China (including Hong Kong, Yantian, Shekou, Chiwan,
Da Chan Bay and Nansha), the import operations remain unaffected.

Please be informed that in response to traditional seasonal changes in market demand, the G6 Alliance, of which APL is a member, has announced the following planned post-Chinese New Year void sailings:

Asia – U.S. East Coast Service Void Sailing

Singapore Vietnam Express 2 (SVS)
Originally intended vessel – E.R. Tokyo (v.003)
Eastbound – Week 6, ETA Hong Kong 10 February 2017

Asia – U.S. West Coast Services Void Sailings

South China 1 (SC1)
Originally intended vessel – APL Boston (v.031)
Eastbound – Week 5, ETA Xiamen, 2 February 2017

Central China 4 (CC4)
Originally intended vessel – NYK Aphrodite (v.081)
Eastbound – Week 6, ETA Shanghai, 10 February 2017

In lieu of the above void sailings, please be informed that the G6 Alliance has agreed to the following port inclusion on the respective services:

In lieu of SVS void sailing: China East Coast (CEC)
NYK Olympus (v.043) will call Jacksonville on an adhoc basis in the corresponding week.

In lieu of SC1 void sailing: South China 2 (SC2)
SC2 will double Kaohsiung and Los Angeles/Long Beach calls in the corresponding week

Chinese New Year Blanking Programme

 

In connection with the upcoming Chinese New Year period, Maersk Line has endeavoured to balance our network to match reduced demand for the next several weeks. We aim to minimize the impact to our customers by securing alternative routings wherever possible. This communication is intended to inform you about all impacted sailings.

 

This is our first update to inform you of our new blanking schedule. We will share more details about alternatives directly and update our system about revised routings by 13th January.
