CTAO Toronto Trucker Strike – Update 2

September 1 8, 2015

Dear Customer,

The Container Trucking Association of Ontario (CTAO) has reached a tentative deal and members are expected to be returning to work. Although rail operations have returned to normal, there will be potential delays at both Toronto rail yards (CP Vaughan and CNR Brampton). We anticipate that it will take several days to clear up the current backlog.

The rail providers are requesting that customers pick up their import cargo without delay in an effort to maintain fluidity. We have been in contact with our approved trucking vendors and have been advised that appointments are being made and container movements are underway.

Any third party costs remain for the account of the cargo.
For further information please contact your local Hapag-Lloyd sales or customer service representative.
Kind regards,
Hapag-Lloyd (Canada) Inc.
