Transit times information on APL’s upcoming OCEAN Alliance services

Dear Valued Customer,

I recently wrote to you about APL’s bigger, broader and better service portfolio encompassing the latest OCEAN Alliance services.

Since then, the alliance members have been working closely as they gear up for April 2017 when the alliance operations begin.

I want to take this opportunity to inform you that the transit times of the OCEAN Alliance services that APL participates are now available. Subject to market conditions and review if necessary, APL aims to provide the most competitive transit times possible for our customers. You can download the latest information here. We will continue to keep you apprised on the progress we have made on OCEAN Alliance, or you may visit our website at www.apl.com/OCEANAlliance for latest updates.

OCEAN Alliance is the leading alliance in the industry, offering services across seven key trades: Asia-North America (East Coast and West Coast), Asia-Europe, Asia-Mediterranean, Asia-Middle East, Asia-Red Sea and Trans-Atlantic.

As one of the major carriers of the alliance, APL offers 38 loops under the OCEAN Alliance scope that complement our existing global network of more than 70 service loops. Our customers now have access to an expanded service portfolio, allowing them to connect to the global markets at greater speed and predictability, helping them to stay competitive and ahead of the game.

With the year coming to a close, I take this time to reflect on the journey we have travelled and the achievements we have made. APL has launched 12 new services across the key trades of Intra-Asia, Asia-Europe and Latin America this year. Our flagship Eagle Express service (EX1) continues to provide industry-leading transit times and service reliability. We continually upgrade and enhance our services by increasing port calls and frequency wherever market demands. We have also introduced new products such as SMARTcool Assured, a premium offering that provides additional protection for fresh produce cargo.

APL is also honored to receive several accolades this year, including the Quest for Quality Award by Logistics Management, Best Green Shipping Line Award by HAROPA and Technology and Systems Innovation Award by Lloyd’s List Asia. These awards are testament to APL’s commitment to delivering service excellence to our stakeholders.

I am immensely grateful for the support that you have given us over the past year, without which, APL would not have come this far. My team and I remain committed to serve you and we look forward to forging a stronger partnership with you in 2017 and beyond.

With the holiday season here, I wish you and your loved ones peace and joy, and a happy new year!

Yours Sincerely,

Nicolas Sartini
