Implementation of Low Sulphur Fuel Surcharge (LSF) on Asia-Europe Trade
As from January 2015 IMO MARPOL Annex VI will take effect and all shipping lines calling the Emission Control Areas (ECA) in North Europe ( North Sea, Baltic Sea and English Channel) have to use higher-quality fuels with a max. content of 0.1% sulphur resulting in an annual cost increase.
Therefore, Hanjin Shipping would like to inform you about the introduction of a new Low Sulphur Fuel Surcharge (LSF) as below:
Trade: Asia from/to North European main ports (Hamburg-Le Havre range incl. UK)
Effective Date: 1st January 2015
Westbound: Amount: USD 50/ 100 (per 20’/40’)
Eastbound: Amount: USD 25/ 50 (per 20’/40’)
Trade: Asia from/to Baltic & Scandinavian ports
Westbound: Amount: USD 110/ 220 (per 20’/40’), effective Date: 1st December 2014
Eastbound: Amount: USD 85/ 170 (per 20’/40’), effective Date: 1st January 2015
