Emergency Congestion Surcharge – From / To all Spanish Ports

Dear Customer,

 

 
Following to our CustomerInfo dated February 24, 2017 and to the worsening of the emergency situation at Spanish ports which is beyond our control, Hapag-Lloyd will implement an Emergency Congestion Surcharge.

 

 
The Emergency Surcharge will apply to all types of containers and to all trades with effect from March 6, 2017 and until further notice.

 

 
Import shipments:
Congestion Surcharge Destination (CGD) with container discharge date
 EUR 200 per 20′ Container
 EUR 300 per 40′ Container
Export shipments:
Congestion Surcharge Origin (CGO) with effect from gate-in date
 EUR 200 per 20′ Container
 EUR 300 per 40′ Container

 

 
For US trades the effective date is March 17, 2017 in accordance to the rules and regulations as per RURE-001, rule 056.1.4 filed on February 15, 2017.

 

 
We regret any inconveniences caused. As soon as the situation in Spain gets back to normal, we will be waiving this surcharge.
