Enhanced West Africa Express Service (WAX)

In line with our objective to continuously improve our services as well as products and with our clear commitment to the West African Trade, we are pleased to inform you that Hapag-Lloyd will restructure and further enhance the dedicated West Africa Service Network.

 

 
Effective mid of March 2016, our existing weekly West Africa Express Service (WAX) will be upgraded by deploying an additional vessel, which will enable us to extend our port coverage in the existing product.

 

 
With the restructured service, we will have a direct Apapa call on the southbound leg, as well as a Tangier call on the northbound leg providing connectivity to the comprehensive, global service network of Hapag-Lloyd.

 

 
Following the upgraded service chart and rotation:
West Africa Express (WAX)
Antwerp • Hamburg • Algeciras • Dakar • Apapa* • Tema • Abidjan • Tangier* • Antwerp

With these substantial upgrades of our WAX paired with our dedicated agents and office network worldwide, we continue to offer you and your cargo a reliable and sustainable product which will meet your and markets requirements.

 

 
 Weekly, fixed day and direct connection from Antwerp and Hamburg to West Africa, inclusive Apapa and vice versa
 Most competitive transittime ex West Africa to North West Continent
 Improved connectivity to our comprehensive liner network at major West Mediterranean as well as North European hubs

 

 
Our enhanced service will start in week 11 of 2016 with the following sailing:
 Durande 1611S, DP26673
ETA Antwerp – March 14, 2016
ETA Hamburg – March 16, 2016
