The Atlantic westbound rates are at inadequate levels. In order to maintain its comprehensive service network Hapag-Lloyd needs to increase the rates for all cargo and all container types from the Western Mediterranean (Italy, Southern France, Spain and Portugal) to the USA (East Coast, West Coast and Gulf) effective November 4, 2016 by:

 
 USD 175 per 20′ Container
 USD 250 per 40′ Container
