Pls note there is an implementation of traffic Surcharge (VTS) for Indian ports which is valid from today on.
Below please find further information regarding this charge:
The government of Gujarat, one of the states in India, has imposed a vessel traffic surcharge on all vessels calling at Mundra, Pipavav, Kandla and Hazira.
In order to minimize the additional cost exposure to the Line, UASC implemented a surcharge called “Vessel Traffic System Surcharge” (VTS)
VTS will be a manifested surcharge mandatory for all imports and exports to/from the ports of
Mundra, Pipavav, Kandla and Hazira at USD 6 / TEU.
The surcharge is payable in connection with ocean freight. Furthermore, VTS will also be applicable for all ICD boxes within India where either the POL or POD is in one of the above mentioned ports.
