Dear Valued Customer,
Effective from 1st February 2016, Maersk Line along with other carriers needs to follow all legal requirements according to Brazilian legislation (ANTAQ RES 2239 15/09/2011, set by IMO International Maritime Organization) that requires changes in IMO documents for the manifest process.
As from 1st February 2016, Maersk Line will require both below dangerous cargo documents at origin for all IMO bookings with destination Brazil.
The content you provide will remain the same as today, you just need to populate in the attached form as both have an English/Portuguese translation.
This requirement is in force by law and Maersk Line along with other carriers want to follow all legal requirements.
This is valid for all bookings requested as from 1st February 2016.
Dangerous cargo bookings without necessary documentation at origin will not be loaded.
In case of doubts, please contact your local customer service representative.
Thank you for your understanding and your continued support.
Sincerely,
