Customer Advisory #94 – 2014 Rail Overweight Surcharge – Imports via Vancouver
Effective November 1, 2014
Dear Valued Customer,
Effective November 1, 2014, please note that Canadian National Rail has revised their overweight surcharge for import containers via Vancouver and Prince Rupert as shown below:
Scope: Import containers via Vancouver and Prince Rupert to destinations in Canada and the U.S.A. with payload between 47,900 and max 55,000 lbs per 20’ and 60,000 to max. 65,000 lbs per 40’
Amount: CAD 500 per 20’ / CAD 325 per 40’
In order to be consistent with the charges of our rail carrier CMA CGM will apply the same rule in our Canadian inland tariff.
This charge will apply to all cargo received and moving under a CMA CGM bill of lading on or after November 1, 2014.
